Your Story Matters — Share It Here
There’s something powerful about telling the truth of what you’ve lived through—especially in a profession where so many are expected to just “keep going.”
This space exists for you.
If you’ve experienced burnout, walked away from healthcare, questioned everything, or found yourself somewhere in between… your story is welcome here. The messy parts, the breaking points, the quiet moments no one else saw—this is a place where all of it belongs.
Because the truth is, so many of us have lived versions of the same story.
The long shifts.
The emotional exhaustion.
The feeling of giving everything and still being told it’s not enough.
And yet, we rarely say it out loud.
That’s why this page exists—to change that.
Why Share Your Story?
When one person speaks honestly, it gives others permission to do the same.
Your story could be the one that makes someone feel less alone.
It could be the thing that helps another clinician realise, “It’s not just me.”
Whether your story is about:
- Burnout
- Leaving the profession
- Staying but struggling
- Rebuilding your life
- Or finding a new version of yourself
…it matters.
You Can Stay Anonymous
This is your story, your boundaries.
You are completely welcome to remain anonymous. No names, no identifying details—just your experience, shared in a way that feels safe for you. If you’d prefer, you can also choose what parts of your story are shared and what stays private.
How It Works
If you feel ready, you can email your story to us. There’s no “right” way to write it—just speak honestly, in your own words.
Email your story to yourthoughts@nurse-interrupted.com
From there:
- Your story may be gently edited for clarity (while keeping your voice intact)
- It will be shared on this page (only with your permission)
- And it will become part of a growing space of real, unfiltered experiences
A Space for Real Stories
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s not about having everything figured out.
It’s about truth.
It’s about honesty.
It’s about giving voice to the experiences that often get pushed aside.
If you’ve ever felt like your story didn’t matter, or that no one would understand—this is your reminder that it does.
And we will.
